Deconstruct a familiar cultural symbol, and then recreate it in an original and unconventional way. As you unpack the form of the symbol, evaluate its details from different perspectives. Experiment with shrinking, enlarging or removing parts. Finally, use collage and mixed-media techniques to develop a new visual work with a personal, contemporary reading.
